Intersan makes 3 types of soaps for your unit: Hand Lotion, Heavy Duty Soap and Antiseptic Soap. These three soaps all come in 1 liter (33.8 oz) bags. The bags are patented by Intersan and are designed in such a way that they don't leak when you insert the soap needle. To order soap you should ocntact your local representative.
Intersan doesn't recommend to use other soap. Although some coconut-based soaps work fine with our units, Intersan will void any warranty when other than Intersan-soap is used.
In some areas hard water can corrode the brass valve body. In that case Intersan can provide your Sanifount-unit with a nylon valve body instead. The nylon valve body won't react with the chemicals and particles in the water and will thus last longer. Using a nylon valve body can avoid costly and regular replacements of valve bodies.
Yes. For those applications where the unit can't be properly supervised or where vandalism is a serious problem Intersan can offer a retrofit-kit. The retrofit-kit can be used on already installed Sanifount units. The kit is composed of a heavy duty lid and a heavy duty locking mechanism. A stainless steel plate on the bottom of the waterdistribution-shell completes the kit.

Each unit has a model number inside the pedestal. On the inside of the access panel, there is a label with the model number. The serial number is on the right side of the access panel on the inside of the pedestal. With this serial number Intersan knows which unit and which vintage of the unit you have.
In a large majority of cases, a soft cloth or sponge, soaked in soapy water will produce perfect results. Another easy way of removing them is with a slightly damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive products as they will leave scratches. On brushed and polished surfaces, wipe along the polish and not across it. Finger marking on the surfaces of stainless steel is more of a problem on new appliances. After only a few weeks of use, fingerprints do not show up as much as when the surface was "brand new".
More tenacious deposits
For more stubborn dirt, e.g. grease, a normal cream cleaner will generally do the job. Especially in areas with hard water, wipe the surfaces dry and remove the wet cloth or sponge to avoid water marks and limescale.
Limescale Removal
If cream cleanser is not enough, treat scale with a 25 % vinegar solution and give it some time to dissolve. Then clean, rinse and wipe dry as usual.
ATTENTION: AVOID!!!
Disinfectants containing bleach (sodium hypochlorite) can damage stainless steel if concentrates are allowed to be in contact with surfaces for too long. Salt or other cleansers shown as containing chlorides can also cause damage. Always dilute these "sanitizing" products, if used, keepint the contact times to a minimum and ensuring that the surfaces are thoroughly rinsed with clean water afterwards.
Hard abrasive scourcing powders will leave scratch marks.
Wire wool pads made of "ordinary" steel are totally unsuitable for stainless steel as they will impair the self-healing capability of the stainless steel surfaces.
Silver dip cleaners may contain chlorides and strong acids are not suitable for stainless steel.
